BEST FOR FAMILY & FRIENDS

Above all else, we believe holidays are for creating unforgettable memories and who better to create memories with but those closest to you. Travelling with friends and family can be incredibly rewarding and actually offer fantastic value allowing you to stretch your budget further than you would be able to when travelling individually. You can also have a more intimate and private holiday by having transport exclusively for your group and even hiring properties exclusively such as Riads, B&Bs, small boutique hotels and even an Ice Hotel! So whether you are looking to travel with friends, family or both we have so many unique and special options for you, here we have a look at some of the best.

Morocco

Morocco is a special place, it’s a world away from life in Europe, yet a relatively short and affordable flight. It’s renowned for its beautiful Riads which were private noble residences but have now been converted into boutique hotels. Typically they have between 4-8 rooms making them ideal for private hire for family and friends. In Marrakech, you can use them as a base to explore the souks, take a hammam, learn to cook Moroccan cuisine or go further afield on day excursions to the Atlas mountains where you can hike, visit waterfalls or even ski! Alternatively, your stay in a Riad can be the first destination before a change of scenery. Stay in the Atlas Mountains, visit the coast or for those who really like an adventure, travel down south and ride a camel through the sand dunes of the Sahara Desert. Your private transport allows you to take your time and gives you greater flexibility. So with bustling cities, mountains, coast and deserts available all you have to decide is which you’d like to visit! Check out our Moroccon experiences here.

The Lapland Experience

Finland’s Lapland, along with the rest of Scandinavia is renowned for being expensive however you can make substantial savings if you travel as a group, making it ideal for family and friends. For those eager to take their children to visit Father Christmas at Santa’s village the family rooms aren’t much more expensive than a room for two offering better value and making it easier to justify the cost. Lapland caters well to the whole family with activities such as leisurely reindeer sledding or husky sledding and snowmobiling for those looking for more of a rush. There is of course skiing with Levi resort well suited to those of all abilities and ages and for those who don’t wish to be too active, there are of course the famed saunas and hot tubs. After a long day enjoying everything Lapland has to offer you can kick back and relax in your glass accommodation and if you’re lucky look up and marvel at the Northern Lights dancing overhead. A truly unforgettable experience to have with family and friends! Check out our Lapland experience here.

Transylvania

Romania has become an all-year destination, in particular Transylvania. In the winter it has genuinely become an alternative to the better know winter destinations, offering skiing, huskies and even an Ice Hotel. It doesn’t however have the Northern Lights, which typically appear in the nordic region of Europe but it’s arguably richer in culture and substantially cheaper, making it an ideal location for friends and family. The region is filled with family-run guesthouses and hotels which are affordable to take exclusively and if your group is brave enough you could even stay in the Hotel of Ice and have it all to yourself, ideal for a celebration – it doesn’t get more special than that! Transylvania is no less appealing in the summer where you can stay in rural villages which offer a safe and wholesome environment for young families who would like their children to put down those iPads and partake in village activities while enjoying the outdoors by exploring Transylvania’s beautiful countryside. There is of course Dracula’s castle which appeals to guests of all ages as does a visit to one of the bear hides where you can see wild brown or maybe visit one of the many natural spas in the region. With so much on offer there, we are sure to be able to find something to suit your group in the special and great value destination. Check out our Transylvania experiences here.

The Puglia Dolce Vita Experience

Some experiences are already ideal for private groups and the Dolce Vita Experience in Puglia is one of them. Charming Italian towns, authentic unusual accommodation, welcoming locals, divine wine and of course, delicious food! The activities are relaxed and add a local flavour in every way, learn to cook a delicious meal, make pasta with the Mama’s in the streets of Bari, taste olive oil and explore a centuries-old olive oil farm and all while being comforted by the typically warm climate as the region gets sun for most of the year. Comparatively, our Dolce Vita trip is already very well priced but it’s even cheaper if you do it with a group, due to the activities it’s a small group trip anyway so you only need 6-8 people to justify a private trip. So with your days filled with fun activities, all you have to do is enjoy them with those you bring with you. It’s the perfect trip for the girls or ideal for families who are into their food. Check out our Puglia experience here.

Montenegro

Montenegro is one of the ultimate outdoorsy destinations, the secret is in the name which translates as “Black Mountain”, with plenty to offer the adrenalin junky such as white water rafting, canyoning, zip-lining, parasailing, and kayaking to the more slow-paced hiking, boat excursions, horse riding and of course sunbathing! It’s a small nugget of a country with a diverse landscape so you can see different sides such as the mountains and the coast in a couple of hours so you can move a group around the country without having to endure any long car journeys. It’s also cheap as although it uses the Euro it’s not part of the EU making prices literally a third of neighbouring Croatia. So why not combine time on the coast with a few days’ adventure in the mountains to get the perfect balanced friends and family holiday. Check out our Montenegro experiences here.

The Botswana Mobile Safari Experience

As far as friend and family holidays go, this has got to be one of the ultimate once-in-a-lifetime experiences. A luxury mobile safari in the Okavango Delta with those nearest and dearest to you. Observing incredible sightings from your game viewer, enjoy a sundowner with those closest to you as the sun sets over the Okavango wetlands, laugh and reminisce about the wonders of the day before enjoying the obligatory night cap around the fire pit listening to the sounds of Africa’s nature in one of the world’s greatest natural parks! It is expensive, but a unique hands-on experience in one of the world’s premium protected national parks always is going to be, however as a group we can secure you mammoth discounts in excess of 30% which certainly helps bring the dream closer to reality and if you extend your trip by combining it with time in South Africa, which offers terrific value, then you can substantially bring down the cost of the overall holiday. Who wouldn’t want to finish their trip with some time in Cape Town and its beautiful Winelands! A mobile safari in the Okavango Delta in Botswana is the ideal place for special celebrations such as personal milestones (and even weddings!) offering quality time for people of all ages to have time with each other. A truly intimate environment with literally no distractions but the wildlife allowing you all the time you need to spend time with those you love. A dream holiday for any group!
